When you close your food or health business we need to have confirmation in writing from all registered proprietors.

If you have sold your food business the new owners will need to apply for registration under the Food Act. 

If you have sold your health business, you can transfer this registration under the Public Health and Wellbeing Act. 

You will need full details of your business as they appear on your current Registration Certificate including: 

  • Licence number
  • Trading Name
  • Contact information

You must notify us if you have closed or sold your business.

If you are receiving a renewal notice, then you may not have completed this step.

Food businesses cannot be transferred, and the new owners must apply for registration.
