You have responsibilities under food safety law to provide safe eggs, which include:

• managing the hazards of egg production
• the obligation to sell only clean and uncracked eggs
• record keeping
• registering with council - if selling off site, such as at a market or event
• bird health
• egg collection
• handling and cleaning eggs
• checking eggs for faults
• packaging and labelling
• storing and transporting.
