Murals on private property

We celebrate the diverse nature of our creative communities and values the unique role that street art can play in the cultural fabric of the community.

Private property and business owners who choose to place a mural on the side of their building should be consider the following:

  • alternative designs to mural which consist mainly of 'piecing' – this being an elaborate reproduction of the artists tag
  • cost of mural and any required repair to murals are at property owners expense - we cannot remove graffiti from private murals
  • the application of a Graffiti Shield to your mural
  • advising the City of Greater Geelong Public Arts Officer of your mural.
