Items eligible for free drop-off

Clean flattened cardboard (up to 0.5 cubic metres)

Cardboard must be flattened and free of plastics, polystyrene and other material.   

Electronic waste and appliances

We accept domestic quantities of the following items for free:

• small electrical items such as hair dryers and radios
• small appliances such as microwaves, kettles, toasters and coffee machines
• televisions
• electric tools
• mobile phones, computers and accessories

Car batteries, wet cell only (no lithium batteries)

Battery terminals must be covered with tape or plastic caps. 

Gas BBQ bottles (up to 9 kilograms)

Clean polystyrene / styrofoam (up to 0.5 cubic metres)

• *GT Recycling: 100 Point Henry Road, Moolap, Mon-Fri 9am to 3pm. Call 5248 0473 before attending. Please flatten all cardboard.
• *Visy Recycling: 282 Thompson Road North Geelong, Mon-Fri 7am to 3pm. Domestic quantities only - will close without notice if full.

E-waste and whitegoods

• Book a residential Hard Waste Collection Service (no added cost for eligible residents).
