Hitchcock Memorial Bandstand

Since 1926, the Hitchcock Memorial Bandstand has been a striking fixture in Johnstone Park.

Designed as a classical rotunda to commemorate local community figures, its elegant columns have set the stage for generations of live performances, spanning brass ensembles, jazz sets, and modern concerts. Today, it continues to serve as a lively gathering place for festivals and civic events - a lasting tribute to Geelong’s rich musical legacy and love for public spaces.
