About the permit process

A planning permit is a legal document that gives permission for a use, development or subdivision on a piece of land.
Planning permits are different to building permits. Planning permits are about the use of land, and building permits relate to the method of construction to ensure your project is safe and meets building regulation. If you have a planning permit you may still need to get a building permit.
