First Time Parent Groups are free, local programs run by the Maternal and Child Health Service. These groups aim to support new parents by providing relevant information about early parenthood while also helping you build social connections within your local community.

Families are typically invited to join a group when their baby is between 8 weeks and 4 months of age, creating a supportive space to share experiences and learn alongside others at a similar stage.
Topics covered across the 5-6 session include:
- adjusting to parenthood & Getting to know your baby
- sleep and settling
- development and play
- safety.
- Readiness for Solids
- library session
