We partner with the Geelong and Region Branch of the National Trust (Geelong and Region Chapter) each year to assess and present the Geelong Heritage Awards.
Geelong Heritage Awards
The Awards celebrate the achievements of local property owners and developers in conserving heritage places and undertaking sensitive redevelopment of heritage places that delivers a sustainable future use in a manner that retains and complements the heritage values of their property.
The owner/developers, their architects/design consultants and builders/trades specialists engaged in these projects can be recognised as leaders, and often innovators, in the field of heritage management in our municipality.
The awards are assessed annually based on works that have completed in the preceding 12 months, by a panel including our Heritage Advisor and the National Trust Branch President.
The current award format has been running since 2011 and forms part of the National Trust Heritage Festival that runs in April and/or May of each year.
